Walk down any neighborhood in Korea and you’ll find a mom-and-pop fried chicken joint on almost every block. With years of hands-on experience with Korean cuisine, founder Jinduk Seh, decided to focus on perfecting a recipe for fried chicken, and share one of his country’s favorite comfort foods with the world.
The result was Bonchon, which suitingly means “my hometown” in Korean. Their very first Bonchon Chicken restaurant opened in 2002 in Busan, Korea, before spreading its wings to other parts of Seoul.
With their first overseas location in Leonia and spreading to other cities in San Francisco, New York, Manila, Bangkok and more, Bonchon finally hits Singapore with its first restaurant opened in 2011. Forget the oily and salty fried chicken that made you guilty!
The Bonchon Fried Chicken recipe breaks the boundary of oily and fattening meat you get from traditional fried chicken. At Bonchon, they prepar food with customers’ health and taste in mind, using only fresh ingredients and zero trans-fat meat.
