Asian Civilisations Museum 1
Beginning of the Becoming: Batak Sculpture from Northern Sumatra 10am – 7pm
This exhibition explores the extraordinary sculptures of the Batak people from northern Sumatra. Centred in the mountain heartlands around Lake Toba, this intriguing culture is rooted in ancient Southeast Asian traditions.
Over 80 works in wood, stone, and bronze are on loan from the Mandala Foundation, 20 of which have been donated to the Asian Civilisations Museum.
Malay Heritage Centre
Ilham Alam: Nature and Healing in the Malay World 10am – 6pm
Only five days left! Catch the Malay Heritage Centre’s special exhibition on nature and healing before it closes!
In partnership with the Singapore Botanic Gardens (National Parks Board), the exhibition features 19th century Malay medicinal manuscripts, tools used by traditional Malay healers and an outdoor plant maze.

Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall
The Six Men Who Saved Wan Qing Yuan Travelling Exhibition 10am – 5pm
This exhibition is co-curated by students from River Valley High School over the course of one year as a tribute to the six Chinese pioneers, namely Lee Kong Chian, Lee Choon Seng, Lee Chin Tian, Tan Ean Kiam, Yeo Kiat Tiow and Chew Hean Swee, who contributed in areas such as education, religion, economy and social reforms, not forgetting their philanthropic spirits and astute decision to preserve Wan Qing Yuan in 1937.
