ASUS has announced the availability of ASUS VivoTab, a thin and light tablet featuring Windows 8 Pro.
Sporting an 11.6-inch multi-touch HD display made compatible with a Wacom® Digitizer Stylus, as well as Intel® Atom™ dual-core processor for excellent combination of performance and energy efficiency, ASUS VivoTab enables users to run the latest software and legacy applications at ease.
Available at S$1,399 from 5 April, ASUS VivoTab comes with a mobile dock that increases productivity, thanks to its functional ZENBOOK-inspired keyboard dock which has a built-in battery that provides up to 19 hours of mobile use.
Enhanced performance, incredible energy efficiency
Featuring a 1.8GHz Intel® Atom™ Z2760 dual-core processor with enhanced performance and incredible energy efficiency, ASUS VivoTab also boasts of a 11.6-inch multi-touch display with built-in Super IPS+ technology that gives a pin-sharp 1366 x 768 HD resolution in vibrant colours, wide viewing angles and superior outdoor visibility.
ASUS TruVivid technology further enhances image clarity further by reducing display thickness, while its scratch-resistant Corning® Fit glass with anti-fingerprint coating keeps the screen crystal clear.
“Pen on paper” experience
ASUS teams up with Wacom®, the world’s leading manufacturer of pen tablets, to create the touch layer of the ASUS VivoTab HD screen. Supporting up to 1,024 levels of pressure sensitivity, the Wacom® Digitizer Stylus mimics the actual “pen on paper” experience that users are familiar with. The precise pen point accuracy improves user experience in drawing, sketching and note taking on the ASUS VivoTab, thereby redefining productivity on the portable and powerful Windows 8 tablet.
Flexible control for intuitive use
Flexibility is key with ASUS VivoTab, whatever the task in hand. Multi-touch function gives full, intuitive fingertip control with Windows Store apps, while the sensitivity of the Wacom® Digitizer Stylus offers extreme precision with desktop apps. When connected to the mobile keyboard dock that comes with a streamlined “hidden hinge” design,
ASUS VivoTab is instantly transformed into a notebook, complete with a fully functional ZENBOOK-inspired keyboard, large multi-touch touchpad and two USB 2.0 ports for unprecedented productivity. Furthermore, the built-in battery in the mobile dock extends ASUS VivoTab’s 10.5-hour battery life by up to 9 hours, to an incredible 19 hours of mobile usage on the tablet.

Measuring at just 8.7mm thick and 675g light, ASUS VivoTab is a portable and practical device. Quad speakers with ASUS SonicMaster technology means ASUS VivoTab sounds as good as it looks too, while the 8-megapixel camera with auto-focus five-element lens and large f/2.2 aperture delivers best-in-class image capture.
The ASUS VivoTab will be available in Amethyst Gray at S$1,399. This includes a leather casing, Wacom® Digitizer Stylus and mobile keyboard dock.
