To celebrate Mother’s Day, Chef Wan will be whipping up special dishes and adding them to the existing smorgasbord at 1 Market by Chef Wan (1 Market).
These hearty dishes, available during the Mother’s Day celebration period, 8 May to 30 May, include nonya laksa, beef rendang, Ayam Pencik and Ayam Korma. For three generations, these dishes have been a part of Chef Wan’s family.
Besides these dishes, patrons will get to enjoy other beloved classics that are currently served at 1 Market.
Experience the heritage of spices through savouring signature dishes such as braised mutton, squid gamelan skewer, crab cooked in coconut sauce and of course satay. The tender, well-seasoned skewered meats are grilled to perfection.
Other dishes include rojak, popiah and pie tee, chicken noodles, fish ball noodles as well as prawn noodles. The barbecue section also features three mainstays: chicken, beef and lamb. In addition, there is a carving station which serves gloriously roasted beef, lamb and chicken.
Round off the gourmet experience and make a beeline for the dessert section, which is replete with desserts such as blueberry tart and chocolate fudge.
Dig into homemade Malay pastries such as nonya kueh, kueh lapis, campuran kueh and kueh nonya. Not forgetting the Malaysian goreng ubi that goes so well with gula melaka sauce!
