KFC’s Heritage Kallang Flagship Reopens with Futuristic Vibrant Highlights & The Brand’s First-Ever Physical Merchandise Space

When the hoarding went up around KFC’s Kallang outlet and the Google location was initially changed to “Permanently Closed” in mid-September, many fans started panicking. Was this OG location going to be another lost icon of Singapore’s history? Despair changed to joy when it was clarified that this was a renovation, albeit a bold refresh that would take more than two months.
Fast forward to 21 November, and KFC Kallang will be reborn as the beloved fried chicken brand’s flagship with a whole new look. The rare standalone restaurant, which has proudly preserved its authentic, original charm for the past decades as KFC Singapore fought to keep the Kallang location, is now transformed into a reimagined next-generation store.
Feeding Us – From Past to Present
KFC Kallang first opened in 1979 and now, after more than four decades of operation, KFC’s prominent standalone Kallang outlet is set to reopen with a full makeover.

Reflecting where KFC is headed while honouring its roots, the revamped restaurant brings KFC’s bold vision to life with bold neon lighting, casting a vibrant, electric atmosphere that instantly signals youth, creativity, and modern culture. Clean lines, modular fixtures, and dynamic color accents make the space feel energetic.
The layout is intentionally open, adaptive, and social-friendly with selfie-ready corners, interactive digital panels, and bold graphic elements woven throughout. It’s a fresh, youthful playground that blends street vibes with futuristic flair, inviting customers to hang out, explore, and express themselves.


The interior, too, sports open seating configurations, from cosy alcoves to booth seating and even communal tables for large groups – an increased capacity of 216 seats, up from the previous 130 – with eye-catching KFC artwork overhead. This outlet opens for 24-hours on Friday, Saturdays, and eve of Public Holidays and till 2:00 am on Sundays, with breakfast starting as early as 4:30 am on Saturdays, Sundays, and the eve of Public Holidays. It’s the next perfect hangout spot in the area.
It will also house the brand’s first-ever physical merchandise space in Singapore – KFC’s first-ever merch corner. This is the first time a KFC store is going beyond a traditional restaurant, offering fans a chance to explore and shop KFC collectibles.
The result is a reborn flagship that stands apart from other refreshed stores, blending functionality with style to deliver an immersive, next-level dining and brand experience.

Since 2021, KFC has been dropping limited-edition pickleball capsule collections in collaboration with homegrown streetwear brand AMOS X ANANDA by Singaporean Amos Yeo. Hotter than KFC’s Hot & Crispy Chicken, and as original as KFC’s Original Recipe with 11 secret herbs and spices, these fashion items are being snapped up as quickly as they are launched.

With such momentum for these non-food fan favourites, KFC is dedicating an entire section of its new flagship outlet in Kallang to a physical merchandise space. Completing the experience, diners can now touch the actual goods – pieces sized S/M, L/XL and XXL will be on display – as the smell of delicious fried chicken wafts through the air.
Launching on 28 November 2025, is the latest KFC collaboration with AMOS X ANANDA – the last to wrap up the year, and the first for its new Kallang home. An ode to Singapore’s new trending national pastime, pickleball – whether you love it or hate it – delight in flashy pickleball paddles, shirts, T-shirts, socks, and even a headband so you can look runway ready even as you fumble your serve or cooly pose after you drop the ball. Available only at the KFC Kallang Merchandise Space, customers can finally touch, feel, and experience the merchandise up close. This marks a cultural milestone for KFC as the brand evolves from a food icon into a lifestyle powerhouse. To celebrate the moment, fans will be treated to an all-new, limited-edition capsule collection available exclusively at this flagship retail space.
The collection features KFC’s first-ever sportswear capsule, headlined by a Pickleball Paddle Set in KFC’s iconic red. The set includes two Pickleballs in stylish red and black. Completing the collection are exclusive Chicken Pickleball illustrations that add a playful, youthful pop to the entire range.
