The new limited menu item from the well-known American quick-service chicken concept restaurant combines two household favourites – savoury popcorn and crispy fried chicken – to offer something new and bold yet familiar for Texas Chicken fans.
The inspiration for this new flavour started from the desire to give Texas Chicken’s guests MORE of what they love – which is the extra crunchy sensation of biting into each piece of freshly prepared, juicy fried chicken. By coating the crispy breading of the 100% fresh chicken with perfectly popped crunchy, savoury kernels, it provides THAT enhanced taste experience with a crunchier bite!
From new product idea conceptualization and consumer research stages to ingredients commercialization and quality checks, as well as recipe fine-tuning at the restaurant level, it took Texas Chicken’s R&D team over a year to come up with the Buttery Popcorn Crunch Chicken.
