To kick off Gain City’s Year-End Campaign, Gain City will be running carnival activities that are geared towards fans of traditional Japanese culture!
On 19th and 20th November, look forward to a wide range of Japanese food and snacks, origami workshops, performances and more at the Gain City Super Japan Matsuri Carnival, held at the Gain City Megastore @ Sungei Kadut!
Performances
If you are a fan of Japanese culture, they have a real treat for you! From the land of the rising sun comes a group that will be performing Yosakoi Soran Seiran Matoi, a set of traditional dances that has its roots in Hokkaido, which was then popularized and brought all around the world by groups like these over a span of 25 years!
Each dance has a captivating story to tell and is broken down into 5 parts, including Matoi, Seiran Ishikaritairyoiwaibushi and Mouashibi.
With an overall aim of introducing fascinating aspects of Japanese culture to the masses, do drop by the Gain City Megastore @ Sungei Kadut before 6pm on 20th November to catch their half-hour performance!
Origami Folding & Drawing Workshops
Bringing your kids to the Gain City Megastore @ Sungei Kadut? A professional artist hailing from Uniq Arts will be conducting creative workshops that are sure to nourish their burgeoning young minds with the joys of creating beautiful works of art!
Teach your kids how to fold magnificent origami cranes and basic drawing skills – crafts that instill unique life skills that are sure to help them later on in life!
F&B (Emporium Shokuhin)
Calling lovers of all things Japanese! Explore and discover Singapore’s first integrated Japanese emporium featuring artisanal groceries and other delicious eats with Emporium Shokuhin, who will be the star feature and will be bringing in a wide range of items you will be hard-pressed to find anywhere else!

Lucky Cuisine, level 3 of the Gain City Megastore @ Sungei Kadut, will be dishing out great-tasting culinary delights from around the World!
Dive into sumptuous spreads specially prepared by Executive Chef Daniel, who will put forth Japanese delicacies your stomach will thank you for! From Chawanmushi, to Chikinkare, Tori Kara-Age, Yaki Udon and even matcha ice blended drinks, various promotional food items at affordable prices will entice even the most discerning of palates!
