Panasonic New Modern Kitchen Appliances 21 Jun 2012

Panasonic’s new home appliances are specially designed and engineered to make cooking fuss-free easier and healthier than ever before

Inverter Steam Microwave Oven NN-SV30 NOW $1499 (U.P. $1599)

Health conscious people who avoid deep-fried food often prefer cooking methods such as baking steaming and grilling. Panasonic’s multi-tasking microwave oven NN-SV30 is therefore a must-have household appliance as it offers the versatility to do the above.

This is made possible by a three-in-one cooking method known as Awasewaza which uses various heat sources to achieve a revolutionary combination cooking technique. Awasewaza saves time by allowing food to be cooked on both sides simultaneously. It also enables food to be crispy on the outside while retaining the juices inside and draining away the excess fat.

Made in Japan, the oven’s innovative Inverter Technology allows fine and precise heat control at multiple levels including low settings. This prevents common problems like over-cooking or shrinking and more importantly the loss of nutrients. The IR Sensor featuring a high performance temperature detector ensures that food is heated up evenly while the Wide and Flat non-turntable interior cooking space allows for large cookware to be placed Inside nicely and easily. Other models available: NN-CS599Sand NN-GS597M.

Energy-saving Thermo Pot NC-HU301P NOW $189

Having a thermo pot at home means access to hot water on demand. Tea lovers should consider getting Panasonic’s NC-HU301P thermo pot which features an inner pot coated with Binchotan-Carbon. The Binchotan-carbon lining is complemented with diamond fluorine for more even heating. This combination — known as alkali course — helps to alkalize the pH level of hot water and extract the rich flavours of health-boosting components of tea leaves such as amino acids and catechins. A Vacuum Insulation Panel in the inner pot saves up to 42 per cent off the amount of energy usually consumed.

The Energy Saving Timer remembers daily patterns of use and turns off the heater during nonuse periods to reduce your electricity bill. But even after you’ve unpluqqed the electricity cord you can still enjoy hot water thanks to the Cordless Electric Pump that is able to keep the water temperature at approximately 90°C for about three hours. For maximum convenience the thermo pot comes with a four-speed dispenser. Other models available: NC-BH30P and NC-EH30P.

Micro-computerised Rice Cooker MODEL SR-MG182 AND SR-MG102

Panasonic’s SR-MG182 or SR-MG102 rice cooker not only cooks rice it also allows you to prepare porridge or soup with just a touch of a button. Stewing steaming and baking are other cooking options. A Micro-Computerised Fuzzy LogicTechnology and thermo sensor automatically control and adjust the cooking temperature based on the amount of rice and water used. Its cooking pan is specially coated with Diamond Fluorine and finished with charcoal or Binchotan.

There are 100 million minute (about 0.05 carat) diamond particles that transmit heat resulting in finer and more vigorous bubbles for a more even cooking process. Binchotan — the traditional white charcoal from Japan – breaks up the rice clusters and soaks the grains to the wick. The water becomes mild and each rice grain absorbs the water well. The result is fluffier and more delicious rice! Othermodels available: SR-JHF18, SR-MS183/103 and SR-DE183/103.
