Samsung has announced the launch of new Two-Door refrigerators as part of its new range of eco-friendly and durable refrigerators.
Announced at a media event where the emphasis was on the refrigerator’s role as a canvas for communication for all at home, the refrigerator, in today’s context does more than just keep food fresh.
With the launch of the new Two-Door refrigerators, Samsung brings to life the powerful technology innovations at home, empowering families to get more out of their appliances and enabling households to run more efficiently and harmoniously.
“In many ways, the refrigerator is the heart of the kitchen, experiencing a lot of physical demands and activities throughout the day,” said Irene Ng, Vice President of Marketing, Samsung Asia Pte Ltd. “At Samsung, we pride ourselves on always putting the consumer first in our innovations. We considered the different scenarios of fridge use in creating the new Two- Door refrigerators which delivers on providing real solutions with unprecedented technology, durability and design.”
Count on Durability and Reliability; Enjoy High Energy Efficiency
Most notably, the new line of Two-Door refrigerators features Samsung’s superior Digital Inverter Compressor that strengthens durability. It also improves energy efficiency and cooling performance by automatically adjusting across five speeds of Revolutions Per Minute (RPM) in response to cooling demands.
No matter how temperature in the fridge changes, the compressor reacts by either increasing its fan speed to provide blasts of cold air or slows down to reduce unnecessary energy consumption. The range of Two-Door refrigerators is all given four ticks, the highest energy efficiency rating, for excellent energy efficiency by the National Environment Agency.
Unlike other models, Samsung’s compressor operates only when necessary so it is quieter. While this innovative technology works to strengthen the durability and extend the life of the refrigerator, Samsung further backs it up with a 10-year warranty.
Delivering Optimal Freshness and Cooling with Category-First Features
Samsung’s new Two-Door refrigerators offer several category-first features that ensure optimal storage to keep food fresh and cool. Among these innovations is Moist Fresh Zone, which controls the air circulation to maintain optimal humidity and create an ideal environment to keep vegetables and fruits fresher for a longer period of time. Additionally, a Cool Pack option keeps the freezer cool for eight hours in case of a power shut-off, keeping foods – even ice cream – from defrosting.
Pushing the “Quick Cooling” button on the display allows the refrigerator to start cooling inside to quickly reach the target temperature and reduce waiting time.
Space Efficiency and Convenience Features Offer Real Solutions for Busy Families
Advanced technology in the new Two-Door refrigerators has enabled unique features which offer convenient storage and maximum space efficiency, including the following (features and availability vary according to product models):
- Easy Slide Out shelf to effortlessly store and remove food
- Easy Access Dispenser at waist-level eliminates the need for users to bend over when they need to get water and ice

Attendees at the media event were treated to a cooking demonstration by award winning chef Willin Low at his Wild Rocket @ Mount Emily restaurant. Willin created a new recipe just for the occasion with ingredients kept fresh by the Samsung Two-Door refrigerator.
