OneInbox is a free digital service, accessible to anyone with SingPass. Besides being an eco-friendly initiative which enables public users to do away with hardcopy letters, OneInbox also offers:

• Email notifications for new letters received and unread letters
• Forwarding of e-letters to personal email account

Unlike other email systems, OneInbox is spam-free as only authorized agencies can send letters to the subscribers and delivery is guaranteed. Like all government e-services, data security is of utmost importance. OneInbox is designed and implemented to provide the necessary protection.

E-letters and their meta data are secured at-source and at-rest. At-source, agencies encrypt batches of e-letters and transmit them via secured file transfer (SFTP) to OneInbox. Upon receiving the e-letters, OneInbox stores (i.e. at-rest) the e-letters in their encrypted form and secure the e-letters’ meta-data using database encryption. The end-to-end security assures agencies and citizens that their information is well protected.
