SmartKids Asia Educational Kids Fair returns from 18 to 20 Mar 2016 at Singapore Expo Hall 6
This weekend’s SmartKids Asia expects to return stronger than before. Presenting an extensive line-up of family-centric activities from meet & greet sessions with popular characters, free trial classes from leading enrichment centres, fun stage games and activities to inflatable challenges, interactive sports zone and even a scholarship programme, there is something for all parents with children from 3 to 12 years old.
Organised by Sphere Exhibits Pte Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Singapore Press Holdings Ltd (SPH), SmartKids Asia will take place this weekend from Friday to Sunday (18-20 March) 11am-9pm at Singapore Expo, Hall 6 for three days only.

Meet & Greet sessions
SmartKids Asia will bring forth a set of popular cartoon characters; Yo-Kai Watch featuring Jibanyan & Komasan, Peppa Pig featuring Peppa & George, My Little Pony featuring Twilight Sparkle & Pinkie Pie and Transformers featuring Bumblebee, for three days of performances and Meet & Greet sessions.
More than 8,000 entries were received for a bid of the Meet & Greet passes via SmartKids Asia’s online registration channel and a total of 300 participants have been selected for an exclusive Meet & Greet session with the characters on stage.
SmartKids Asia Scholarship Programme
A first in its five years, SmartKids Asia will launch its very own Scholarship Programme, partnering key education providers such as CMA Mental Arithmetic Centre, The Keys Academy, All That Jazz Dance Academy, Adam Khoo Learning Centre, S.A.M and MindChamps.
The Scholarship Programme aims to sponsor deserving students, aged 5 – 12 years old with one of the educational and arts programmes worth up to $17,000 altogether. Registrants are to be assessed on-site by individual education providers on 18 & 19 March. Following the assessment, 18 scholarship recipients will be chosen, and announced on SmartKids Asia’s stage on Sunday, 20 March.
The Learning Lab – Official Education Partner
Participating for the very first time, The Learning Lab is on board as The Official Education Partner.
The Learning Lab’s Chief Operating Officer, Ms Chua Wai Ling, said, “We are delighted to take part in the SmartKids Asia Fair 2016. Nurturing a lifelong love for learning in our students has always been the key goal at The Learning Lab, and this fun-filled family event is the perfect platform for us to showcase how our passionate and nurturing teachers, together with our dynamic teaching strategies and best-in-class curriculum design, brings about a lifelong learner in every child.”
With other key exhibitors such as ActiveSG, Resorts World Sentosa and Toys “R” Us, SmartKids Asia promises a comprehensive list of activities during the three-day event.
Free Trial Classes
Three days of trial classes from educational and enrichment providers such as The Learning Lab and Stamford Education, will happen from 11am to 8pm daily.
Daily Stage Activities
There will be a comprehensive set of stage segments from various exhibitors encompassing education, the arts and sports.
The New Paper Readers’ Carnival
Featuring carnival-centric games such as Pin Ball, Catch The Frog, Jurassic Nerf Maze, Penalty Kick, Dart Balloon, Roll Ball, Goblet, Toss Ring, Basket Ball, The Inflatable Darts, Crossbow, and Angry Birds.
Each game is subject to a fee of $5.00.
The Little Ninja Warrior Challenge
More than 40-feet long, the inflatable is designed as a time-challenged obstacle course.
This activity is free admission and prizes will be given away to the top participants.
Daily Lucky Draws up to $20,000
Visitors will be entitled to one chance in the lucky draw with every receipt of purchase.
Happening at 3pm, 5pm and 7pm daily, $20,000 worth of prizes to be won include Disney collectibles, hotel and resort stays, and attraction passes.
1000 Free Swensen’s Ice-Cream Daily
On board as the Official Ice Cream Partner, a total of 3000 Swensen’s ice-cream will be given away at 2pmeach day.
Goodie Bag Giveaway (Worth $60)
With a total of 1,500 goodie bags to be given away, registrants are to redeem the goodie bags on-site from11am onwards. Limited to the first 500 registrants per day.
SmartKids Asia’s Quest Card
Presented by Swensen’s, the Quest Card includes a different challenge at each of the 12 pit stops. Participants with a completed Quest Card may be entitled to a Goodie Bag (while stock lasts), and two chances in the daily draw.
Superhero & Princess Contest
Following its online contest that called out for participants to have their young ones don a Superhero or Princess costume, the selected Top 50 winners will make their stage debut on Friday, 18 March at 2.30pm. Two winners will walk away with prizes worth $600 in total.
Non-participating children are also encouraged to be in their costumes. This will entitle them to free makeup services, and a chance to win a Makeup Set for kids from C’est Moi, The Official Skincare & Makeup Partner worth $422.90.
