For farmers worldwide, environmental challenges have altered the landscape. Starbucks is working together to protect the future of sustainable coffee.
On 9 September (9/9), Starbucks will celebrate that Starbucks® coffee is 99% ethically sourced. Customers will receive a free, limited-edition illustrated reusable cup with every purchase of a Grande or Venti-sized handcrafted coffee-based beverage on 9 September.
The celebration pays homage to Starbucks’ history of upholding ethical sourcing and sustainable practices. When customers buy and drink a cuppa at Starbucks, they can feel assured that they are contributing to doing good as well by supporting Starbucks’ efforts in working with coffee farmers worldwide to address environmental challenges.
With the aim of protecting the future of coffee by making it the first sustainable agricultural product, Starbucks is championing a “Good for Coffee, Good for People, Good for Planet” creed – ensuring that farmers are paid fair wages; coffee beans are cultivated according to environmentally friendly methods; education and access to medical care are provided to children living on the coffee farms and their overall communities, and more.
Head to stores tomorrow (9 Sept), purchase any Grande or Venti-sized handcrafted coffee beverage and receive an exclusive 9/9 Starbucks Reusable cup.
