To ensure that all in Singapore have access to the essentials they need to celebrate Chinese New Year (CNY), FairPrice Group (FPG) announced today a price freeze on all of its chilled pork products, and popular seafood and vegetable items.

The price freeze will come into effect across all of FPG’s more than 160 FairPrice supermarkets, from 29 January to 3 March 2026. It will be coupled with promotions on select fresh vegetables that will run throughout the same period.

The price freeze and promotions follow FPG’s recently launched FairPrice Return Vouchers scheme, introduced earlier in January in support of the Government’s CDC Vouchers scheme. This month, FPG also announced that it is importing 20 per cent more live pigs from Malaysia for February, to secure an ample supply of the nation’s second-most consumed protein[1] ahead of the festive spike in demand for fresh pork.

These initiatives are part of FPG’s wider commitment to keep festive staples within reach for Singaporeans throughout the CNY period, and help customers stretch their dollar even further on their seasonal grocery runs.

Market surveys[2] conducted between 22nd to 28th January 2026 highlighted an increase in prices for popular fresh produce – from pork to fish, prawns, and vegetables – sold at wet markets across Singapore.
