COE premiums climb across all categories in Apr 2026’s 1st bidding exercise πΉ
Update 22 Apr: COE results for Apr 2026 2nd bidding exercise sees most premiums rise again
Tracking Singapore’s COE market this round means facing another broad-based increase, with every category ending above the previous exercise π. The Certificate of Entitlement (COE) premiums for Apr 2026’s 1st bidding exercise closed at 4:00pm on 8 Apr 2026 π.
Compared with the Mar 2026 2nd bidding exercise, all five categories moved higher again, pointing to firm demand across both private and commercial segments β .
What stood out this round π
- Category A posted the biggest dollar jump, rising S$6,110 to S$118,000 πΉ.
- Category B climbed S$5,432 to S$121,000, keeping premiums above the S$120,000 mark for non-fully electric cars above 1,600cc or 97kW, as well as fully electric cars above 110kW π.
- Category E, the open category, also stayed elevated at S$121,001, up S$2,882 π§Ύ.
- Category D for motorcycles returned to a five-digit premium at S$10,000 ποΈ.
- Category C for goods vehicles and buses increased to S$80,001, adding to cost pressure for transport and logistics operators π.

What each COE category covers π€
Category A covers non-fully electric cars up to 1,600cc and up to 97kW, plus fully electric cars up to 110kW πβ‘.
Category B applies to non-fully electric cars above 1,600cc or above 97kW, including fully electric cars above 110kW πβ¨.
Category C covers goods vehicles and buses, a category closely watched by firms in transport, construction and logistics ππ.
Category D is for motorcycles ποΈ.
Category E is the Open Category π§Ύπ and can be used to register any motor vehicle except motorcycles. In practice, this category is often tapped for bigger cars, especially when dealers manage allocations strategically.
