Singapore Wine Fiesta, the Biggest Outdoor Wine Fair will be held from 31 October to 3 November 2013 at Customs House with more than 250 labels to taste.

In its 6th year, the Singapore Wine Fiesta, presented by The Straits Wine Company in partnership with DBS, is set to mark the opening of the international wine harvesting season at the Customs House from 31 October to 3 November 2013.

Over 60 winemakers from around the world will be present, bringing together a compelling array of wines from 300 labels, Singapore Wine Fiesta 2013 is set to bring the Customs House to life across 4 days. Expect intimate hands-on experiences, spectacular masterclasses and behind-the-scenes tours with Dan Sims, award-winning sommelier and mastermind of exciting events in Australia, such as Game of Rhones, Pinot Palooza and Wine Day Out.

This year, The Straits Wine Company will be bringing in Dan Sims, award-winning sommelier, existing member of both National and Education Committee of Sommeliers Australia, and Project Manager of The Wine Guide.

Armed with solid experiences in wine list consultation and corporate events hosting, including the highly-acclaimed Melbourne Food and Wine Festival’s masterclasses, Dan’s strong communication skills and ability to keep wine real and on track regardless of time or place will definitely add a new spin to the highly anticipated event.

A seasoned reviewer of wines on The Wine Guide, which attracts approximately 5000 unique visits per month, and leading partner of online projects such as Pinot Unearthed, TV series Two Men Project, the Singapore Wine Fiesta 2013 aims to bring about greater public participation and mass education of wines.

Singapore Wine Fiesta 2013 will feature wines from Australia, Argentina, New Zealand, Chile, France, Spain, Italy, Austria and Germany. Expect trendy rosés (AIX), the Oldest Winery in Yarra Valley (Yarra Yering), Biodynamic Kiwi (Urlar) , aromatic Austrian (Laurens V), Old Vine Shiraz of Barossa (Kaesler), Creators of Chianti (Barone Ricasoli).

The old favourites are back with some new additions to the Straits Wine family. Those with a palate for Italian tipples will find exciting new offerings (Barone Ricasoli, Vietti, Marco Felluga), while new world lovers can look forward to icons of their own (Leeuwin Estate, Brokenwood). If you’re fond of a nightcap, look out for the artisan collection Biodynamic Cognacs and craft Malbecs (Altos Las Hormigas).

The indelible and loyal support from key partners, including DBS, The Fullerton Heritage, Perrier, Vittel, and Google+ will continue in the immediate and broad future to contribute to the success of Singapore Wine Fiesta.
