Asian Civilisations Museum
Secrets of the Fallen Pagoda: Treasures from Famen Temple and the Tang Court 10am – 7pm
Opened 1000 years after it was sealed, the Famen Temple crypt near Xian yielded Tang dynasty objects of great rarity and beauty.
Gold, silver, ceramics, and glass from the temple, and other museums in Shaanxi province make this a rare showcase of Tang art and culture.
Malay Heritage Centre
Kampong Gelam Tales: A Dramatised Tour 11 am – 11.45am & 2pm – 2.45pm
Take a peek into the lives of several historical figures through this interactive tour at the Malay Heritage Centre.
Join in for the Kampong Gelam Tales: A Dramatised Tour and be captivated by pieces of Singapore’s history!
Registration for tours is required.
National Museum of Singapore
Celebrate the “Year of the Horse” at the National Museum of Singapore 10am – 6pm
Rein in the year of the horse with free activities including storytelling sessions. New Year-inspired face painting designs, and a chance to make your very own pop up horses!*
Visitors also get to enjoy free admission to A Changed World: Singapore Art 1950s – 1970s and Singapore Biennale 2013.
*Last admission for craft activity and face painting is at 4.30pm
Peranakan Museum
Celebrate Chinese New Year at the Peranakan Museum 10am – 7pm
Come explore the vibrant Peranakan heritage to learn more about this living culture this Chinese New Year.
Immerse yourself in the colourful history of babas and nyonyas, and be awed by exquisite displays of intricately crafted jewellery, beaded slippers, gold and silver ornaments, textiles, ceramics and ornate furniture at the Peranakan Museum.
