Samsung has unveiled three Ultra-High-Definition (UHD) TVs as part of the expanded 2013 Smart TV range: 85-inch S9, as well as the 55- and 65-inch F9000. With this line-up, Samsung raises the bar for TV experience by delivering exceptional resolution and superb picture quality.

Samsung S9 UHD TV

The Samsung S9 UHD TV comes complete with features to ensure the best picture quality possible regardless of video source.

Samsung’s proprietary up-scaling engine can up-convert HD or Full-HD to UHD-level picture quality by restoring information details to create greater precision and real-life picture quality.

With Samsung’s Precision Black Pro technology, the S9 delivers deep, real blacks as well as pure vivacious whites. It combines an extremely high contrast ratio and Micro Dimming Ultimate control functionality – which utilises hundreds of blocks of LEDs and precise BLU control – to deliver sharp resolutions previously unseen on large format displays.

In addition to picture quality, the S9 combines a powerful sound system with a fast quad-core processor to ensure a premium experience and true multitasking capabilities between content and apps. The S9 comes with 120 watt sound for an audio experience six times better than a typical TV. This system provides a dynamic range of sounds in a commanding and outstanding experience to complement the UHD picture.

The Timeless Gallery design of the S9 raises the standards of luxury television design. The TV appears to be floating within its frame and showcases the juxtaposition of a minimalist concept with such a large display.

The Samsung S9 UHD TV is available now at major consumer electronics at an RRP of $49,999.

Samsung Series 9 F9000 LED TV

The Samsung Series 9 F9000 LED TV series offers four times the resolution of Full HD TV for a vivid, crystal-clear picture.

The F9000 UHD TV utilises Samsung’s proprietary Quadmatic Picture Engine, a four-step process including signal analysis, noise minimisation, UHD up-scaling and detail enhancement to seamlessly up convert SD, HD or Full HD content to UHD-level picture quality.

Both the TV and its software can be upgraded to be compatible with future UHD standards with a separate Evolution Kit.

The new models feature Samsung Smart TV, designed to help consumers search less and watch more. The new Smart Hub interface organises entertainment and personalised content into three convenient panels: Apps, Social as well as Photos, Videos and Music.

Additionally, the F9000 UHD TV is brought to life as consumers use hand gestures or voice commands to navigate and browse with Smart Interaction, creating a new and interactive TV experience.

With Samsung’s Precision Black technology, the F9000 UHD TV delivers a much greater increase in contrast and black levels by dimming LEDs in dark areas of the picture, making blacks darker without affecting brighter elements of the picture. It also features Micro Dimming Ultimate, which combines the use of a special algorithm and scanning technology for sharper images and enhanced contrast.

The F9000 series comes with 3D technology as well as built-in Wi-Fi and a built-in camera to stay connected with friends. The fast quad-core processor enables true multitasking capabilities between content and apps for a premium Smart TV experience.

The F9000 UHD TV comes with 2-way 2.2 channels of 70-watt sound, which is more than three times better than a typical TV. This system provides a dynamic range of sounds for a commanding and outstanding experience to complement the UHD picture.

Designed to create an immersive picture, the F9000 UHD TV features Samsung’s award-winning Ultra Slim Bezel design, providing a virtually edgeless picture. The TV design also extends to the rear of the TV with Samsung’s Clean Back design and comes with the stylish Arc Stand — an eye-catching complement that enhances the interior design of any room.

The Samsung Series 9 F9000 LED TV is available now at major consumer electronics at an RRP of $10,499 for the 65-inch model and $7,499 for the 55-inch model.
