CIMB Bank Singapore has lowered its promotional Fixed Deposit (FD) interest rates from 25 August 2025
The highest rate offered is 1.55% p.a., available exclusively to Preferred Banking customers making placements online.
This update comes shortly after the previous revision on 8 August 2025, when CIMB’s promotional peak rate hit 1.65% p.a. With the latest change, all tenors have been reduced by 0.1%.
📊 CIMB Fixed Deposit Rates (Effective 25 Aug 2025)
Rates are available only for online placements. A minimum of S$10,000 applies for both Personal Banking and Preferred Banking customers.
TENOR | PERSONAL BANKING ONLINE PROMO INTEREST RATE (%P.A.) S$10,000 AND ABOVE | PREFERRED BANKING ONLINE PROMO INTEREST RATE (%P.A.) S$10,000 AND ABOVE |
---|---|---|
3 Months | 1.50 | 1.55 |
6 Months | 1.45 | 1.50 |
9 Months | 1.20 | 1.25 |
12 Months | 1.20 | 1.25 |
The tiered structure ensures that Preferred Banking customers consistently enjoy slightly higher rates than Personal Banking customers, rewarding loyalty and larger banking relationships.
📌 Eligibility & Application Process

- Placement must be made via online banking.
- Minimum S$10,000 placement required.

💡 Alternative Option: Why Wait Fixed Deposit-I
For customers who prefer upfront returns, CIMB also offers the Why Wait Fixed Deposit-I Account. This Shariah-compliant option provides immediate payout, though it does not match the promotional rates shown above.
🔎 Compare Before You Commit
To maximise returns, savers should compare CIMB’s latest FD rates with other banks in Singapore. Refer to the comprehensive deposit rate comparison guide to evaluate competing offers.
CIMB Singapore’s revised FD promotion from 25 August 2025 may not match the highs seen earlier in the month, but Preferred Banking customers can still secure up to 1.55% p.a. on their deposits. With a low minimum placement of S$10,000 and the ease of online application, this offer remains a competitive option for savers looking for stable returns. However, customers should compare across banks to ensure they secure the best rates for their funds.
