CIMB Singapore has revised its fixed deposit interest rates, effective from 1 June 2025, reflecting a reduction in rates across several tenures.
The revision follows a previous update made on 14 May 2025 and marks a continued response to prevailing market conditions.
With this latest adjustment, CIMB’s promotional fixed deposit (FD) rates now peak at 2.2% per annum, down from the earlier 2.3% p.a. cap. The move is expected to influence the savings behaviour of depositors across Singapore, particularly those seeking short- to mid-term deposit tenures.
Latest Promotional Fixed Deposit Rates
Applicable to both Personal Banking and Preferred Banking customers who deposit a minimum of S$10,000 online, the revised interest rates are as follows:
TENURE | PERSONAL BANKING ONLINE PROMO INTEREST RATE (% P.A.) | PREFERRED BANKING ONLINE PROMO INTEREST RATE (% P.A.) |
---|---|---|
3 Months | 2.15 | 2.20 |
6 Months | 2.05 | 2.10 |
9 Months | 1.85 | 1.90 |
12 Months | 1.85 | 1.90 |
These rates are promotional in nature and available exclusively through online applications. Customers are advised to act promptly should they wish to secure the current rates before any potential future changes.
Eligibility and Application Conditions
To qualify for these promotional rates, customers must deposit at least S$10,000 via CIMB’s digital banking platforms. The offer is extended to both new and existing clients under the Personal Banking and Preferred Banking categories. Alternative Option: Interest Disbursed Upfront
In addition to conventional fixed deposit options, CIMB continues to offer the Why Wait Fixed Deposit-I Account. This account allows customers to receive their interest payout immediately upon placement of funds. However, it is not eligible for the Preferred promotional interest rates listed above.
