HL Bank Singapore has refreshed its SGD fixed deposit offer, with promotional rates of 1.88% to 2.10% p.a. across 6-, 12-, 18- and 24-month tenors.

Update 15 Oct: HL Bank S’pore Up to 2.15% p.a. Fixed Deposit Promo Rates from 14 Oct 2026

From 24 Sep 2026, online placements through HLB Connect start from S$10,000, while branch placements require at least S$100,000. Fresh funds are not compulsory for the promotional fixed deposit rate; funds may also come from an existing HL Bank iSavings, Savings or Current account 💰.

Funding alert ⚠️: PayNow and online transfers directly into the fixed deposit account are not available. Where money is coming from another bank, transfer it into an HL Bank account first, such as by FAST, before creating the fixed deposit placement in HLB Connect.

Promotional rates may be revised by HL Bank without prior notice. The rates are quoted per annum, so a 6-month placement at 2.05% p.a. does not earn 2.05% of the principal over six months; interest is computed daily and paid at maturity.

Longer also does not automatically mean higher here: the 18-month tenor pays 1.88% p.a., below the 2.05% p.a. offered for 6 and 12 months. Once an eligible fixed deposit has been successfully placed, its promotional rate applies throughout that deposit period from the first day of placement.

How HL Bank’s recent fixed deposit rates have moved

The current round continues a notable recent rise in the 6-month rate: it moved from 1.55% p.a. on 31 Jul to 1.60% on 21 Aug, 1.70% on 4 Sep, 1.80% on 17 Sep and now 2.05% p.a. The earlier 3- and 9-month promotional tenors disappeared when 12-, 18- and 24-month options were introduced in September.

How to place the fixed deposit

No HL Bank Fixed Deposit Account yet? HL Bank directs customers to get started by opening an HL Bank iSavings Account online via Singpass through the official HL Bank account application. The fixed deposit promotion terms also allow funds to come from an existing HL Bank iSavings, Savings or Current account.

New-account requirements and fees: the current HL Bank iSavings Account has a S$1,000 minimum initial deposit. This is an account funding requirement rather than a fee. A S$30 early closure fee applies if the account is closed within six months of opening, while the minimum-balance fee is currently waived.

The steps below follow the HLB Connect Online placement flow shown by HL Bank. Placement through the mobile banking app is also eligible under the online promotion terms, although on-screen navigation may differ.

  1. Ensure sufficient funds are available in an eligible HL Bank account. Where external funding is needed, transfer funds into the HL Bank account using FAST. PayNow services and online transfers directly to the fixed deposit account are currently unavailable.
  2. Log in to HLB Connect Online.
  3. Open Pay & Transact and select New Placement.
  4. Enter the placement amount, select the preferred tenor and choose Next.
  5. Check the placement details, maturity instructions and promotional rate, then choose Submit.
  6. Confirm that the transaction status shows successful and retain the one-time electronic receipt 📱.

For in-person placements, HL Bank’s branch is at 7 Wallich Street, #B1-25 and #B1-26, Guoco Tower, Singapore 078884. The public promotion page lists the same four promotional rates for online and branch placements.

Key checks before locking in funds 🔍

  • For an eligible HLB Connect online or mobile placement, keep at least S$10,000 available before starting.
  • Fresh funds are optional for the FD promotional rate; balances from eligible existing HL Bank accounts may also be used.
  • Interest is computed daily on a 365-day year, or 366 days in a leap year, and is payable only at maturity.
  • No interest is payable if the eligible fixed deposit is withdrawn before maturity, and partial withdrawal is not allowed ⚠️.
  • Premature withdrawal may also involve charges: HL Bank’s current Personal Pricing Guide says premature withdrawal is at the Bank’s discretion and may be subject to premature withdrawal charges. Applicable fees and charges may also be subject to local taxes, including GST where applicable.
  • For online placements, no physical receipt or transaction advice is issued. A one-time electronic receipt appears after successful placement, and together with the Fixed Deposit Overview serves as the official placement record 🧾.
  • For branch placements, an electronic placement receipt is sent to the registered email address after successful placement, and together with the Fixed Deposit Overview serves as the official placement record.
  • Unless different maturity instructions reach HL Bank before maturity, the fixed deposit renews for the same tenor at the prevailing board rate and applicable terms 🔁.
  • The promotion cannot be combined with other HL Bank promotions unless otherwise specified.

Interest is calculated up to but excluding the maturity date. Rates and tenors may be revised for new placements, and HL Bank may suspend or end the promotion without prior notice.

With the top 2.10% p.a. rate available on the 24-month tenor and shorter 6- and 12-month options both at 2.05% p.a., the refreshed offer provides several lock-in choices. Check the latest rate and applicable terms before confirming a placement, especially as HL Bank may revise or end the promotion without prior notice.
