Ice cream lovers, mark your calendars!
Ben & Jerry’s is bringing back its globally celebrated Free Cone Day to Singapore on Tuesday, 8 April 2025. Fans can look forward to scoops of happiness at the Scoop Shop in VivoCity, where from 12pm to 8pm, anyone can enjoy a complimentary cone of their favourite flavour.
Free Cone Day is back – Bigger, better, and as joyful as ever
This cherished tradition by Ben & Jerry’s is part of a global thank-you gesture that first began in 1979. Born out of appreciation for the community that supported their humble beginnings in a renovated gas station in Burlington, Vermont, Free Cone Day has since grown into an annual event celebrated across over 35 countries.
In Singapore, the event takes place exclusively at VivoCity’s Scoop Shop located at 1 HarbourFront Walk, #02-K1, Singapore 098585. Fans are encouraged to turn up, queue up, and scoop up their favourite flavours – no purchase required!
What to expect at VivoCity
The VivoCity Scoop Shop will be serving a delicious selection of Ben & Jerry’s most loved and unique flavours, including:
- Chocolate Fudge Brownie
- Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
- Berry Berry Extra Ordinary – a Scoop Shop exclusive
- Strawberry Cheezecake (Non-Dairy)
With most flavours being halal-certified, there’s a cone for everyone. Whether you love a classic swirl or prefer a dairy-free delight, there’s something to match every palate.
Fans invited to queue again and again
Yes, you read that right. Fans are welcome to get back in line as many times as they’d like throughout the event hours. Try one flavour, fall in love, and then go back for another. It’s all about sharing the love and indulging in the chunky, funky joy Ben & Jerry’s is famous for.
Global impact, local joy
In 2024, more than 1 million scoops were served globally, with Singapore playing its part in the ice cream extravaganza. Ben & Jerry’s is hoping for even greater turnout this year as fans are once again invited to enjoy free scoops and share the joy on social media.
A tradition rooted in gratitude
Started by co-founders Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield, the original Free Cone Day in 1979 was a heartfelt thank-you to the community for helping them survive a bitter Vermont winter, where temperatures dipped to -10°C and snowfall exceeded 130cm. Decades later, the day continues to echo that same sentiment – gratitude, joy, and good vibes served one scoop at a time.
