Unilever Singapore Pte Ltd (“Unilever”) will be raising funds via their “Cone for Cause” initiative this Sunday (8 December) from 12pm – 6pm.
Come down to Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shop at 313 Somerset for a free cone of ice cream with any donation to the Migrant Workers’ Assistance Funds (MWAF).
The MWAF is the humanitarian charity of the MWC. The Fund allows them to upkeep and protect vulnerable workers up till their outstanding employment disputes are resolved, and has continued to be a key resource for them in their effort to provide the necessary help to distressed and victimized migrant workers in Singapore.
MWAF provides emergency humanitarian assistance by providing meals, shelter, transport and medical costs to distressed migrant workers, in addition to financial assistance to address immediate and urgent needs of workplace accident victims.
Every $10 donated to “Cone for Cause” will go towards the provision of 3 meals for distressed or displaced workers in their shelter.
