Upsized Senior Citizens Discount of 4% (previously 3%)
Giant, one of Singapore’s leading food retailers under the DFI Retail Group (DFI), has refreshed its Senior Citizen Discount scheme and Lower Prices That Last campaign, ahead of the expected GST hike in 2024.
From 31 October 2023, Giant will offer an upsized Senior Citizens Discount of 4% (previously 3%) for Singaporeans and PRs aged 60 years old and above, available every Tuesday at Giant stores islandwide.
In addition, Giant has refreshed the list of products under its Lower Prices That Last campaign, with the goal of providing Singaporeans with essential groceries products that are fresh, high quality and affordable.
Supporting Seniors Ahead of 2024 GST Hike
With GST expected to increase a further 1% from 1 January 2024, the enhanced Senior Citizen Discount underscores Giant’s dedication to ensuring that Singapore’s senior citizens continue to have access to affordable essentials. The Senior Citizen Discount discount of 4% is applicable every Tuesday to Singaporeans and PRs aged 60 years and above, and encompasses a wide range of items such as fresh produce, grocery items, personal care products, and household necessities.
