Celebrate the Year of the Ox at Penang Culture with their 50% off Grouper Fish promotion! Serving locally farmed Groupers this Chinese New Year season, Penang Culture is bringing to customers the from-farm-to-table experience, at an extremely affordable price of $28.80 (U.P. $58.80).
This promotion is available at all their outlets island wide except White Sands outlet, from 29th January to 28th February 2021. The promotion is available at Penang Culture at NEX, Compass One, JEM and VivoCity.
Steamed Grouper Hong Kong Style
Fish is a must in the Lunar New Year feast as fish or ‘yu’ sounds like ‘surplus’ and signifies abundance. At Penang Culture, have the prized Grouper fish just the way you like it. Served in 4 different cooking styles, diners can choose from 2 fried and 2 steamed options:
1. Fried Grouper Cheong Cheng Style
Diners who like their fish with a crunch will delight in this. The whole fish is deep-fried to a crispy perfection, giving it a crackling exterior while preserving the freshness of the meat within. Paired with Cheong Cheng sauce that comes with generous amounts of garlic and some chilli, this dish promises a burst of flavours with every bite.
2. Fried Grouper in Sweet & Sour Sauce
Crispy fried fish is coated with sweet and sour sauce made of pineapple juice, rock sugar, vinegar, tomato ketchup and chilli sauce. A tangy classic that goes down well, both with adults and children alike.
3. Steamed Grouper Hong Kong Style
The best way to enjoy the freshness of a catch is to savour it the traditional way – steamed. The fresh whole fish is steamed till fork-tender, and seasoned with soy sauce, julienned green onions and ginger.
4. Steamed Grouper Cheong Cheng Style
Steamed to a tender texture and then drizzled with piquant Cheong Cheng sauce prepared with finely chopped garlic, shallots, ginger, chilli padi, fermented bean paste, oyster sauce etc., this one’s a winner for diners who prefer their fish with a spicy kick!
All outlets of Penang Culture have been halal-certified by MUIS. Prices quoted are subjected to service charge and prevailing GST.
CompassOne, JEM and VivoCity outlets will operate till 3pm (last order 2.30pm) on 11 Feb and resume business on 12 Feb. NEX outlet will be closed on 11 Feb (CNY Eve) and 12 Feb (First Day of CNY)
