Rumah Rasa is the first Indonesian restaurant in Singapore to use spices from its own herb garden
After years in hiatus, Bay Hotel Singapore has decided to re-launch Rumah Rasa, the halal-Indonesian restaurant which won the hearts and stomachs of many back in 2012. Rumah Rasa – the house of taste, aims to go easy on one’s wallet with comfortable dining prices through home-cooked food and some Indonesians’ favourites which are not commonly found in Singapore.
With the increased importance of sustainable dining, Bay Hotel has decided to farm its own spices and use it in its dishes. This will make Rumah Rasa the first Indonesian restaurant to come up with such a concept. Herbs and spices are planted in the premises of the hotel and Chef Esa himself has a hand in foraging them and selectively adding them to the dishes. The use of these fresh spices ensures that the cuisine is flavourful despite no MSG being used to prepare the food.
As part of their opening special, weekend lunch buffets are going at $55 NETT for two adults and $28 NETT for child between 6 to 12 years
Friday & Saturday dinner buffets with live BBQ are offered at $69 NETT for two adults and $36 NETT for Child.
