Texas Chicken, the well-known American quick-service chicken concept restaurant, has created its first-ever virtual escape room for the launch of its highly-raved REAL Salted Egg Fried Chicken, available for a limited time period only from 29 July to 8 September at all outlets, or while stocks last.
After two successful runs in 2019 and 2020 to great reviews from the media and consumers, the flavoursome and original recipe that took three years to perfect, is back on the menu to satiate the cravings of fans. Using Texas Chicken’s “Always Fresh, Never Frozen” chickens that are delivered to the restaurants daily, the juicy REAL Salted Egg chicken is coated with creamy, savoury salted egg sauce and sprinkled with crunchy salted egg crumbs made from real duck eggs!
On the third consecutive return of the REAL Salted Egg menu this year, Mr Eugene Lim, Senior Director of Brand & Marketing of Select Group, the company that operates Texas Chicken, said: “The Salted Egg Chicken has become a key highlight in our annual menu line-up and synonymous with our National Day celebration that our customers eagerly look forward to. This year, to give our loyal fans an additional treat, we are debuting a specially designed virtual escape room to bring a new dimension of interactivity and fun to our customers, especially during these unprecedented times.”
Egg-citing Heist
For the first time, to pay homage to its mouth-watering, authentic Salted Egg Yolk recipe, Texas Chicken has come up with a fun and engaging virtual escape room where players will be brought on a journey to assist the true heir to Texas Chicken to inherit the company and continue his late father’s legacy after he was overthrown and banished by his father’s evil ex-business partner.
The three-level virtual escape room will see participants overcome obstacles and challenges to retrieve the most prized possession – The Salted Egg Yolk recipe, where winners of the game can bring home up to $2,100 cash and vouchers. Fans of Texas Chicken can stand a chance to join a free session of the virtual escape room with four other friends on 14 August 2021, 2pm, by simply spending $10.00 in a single receipt and submitting the entry via the QR code provided. Registration starts on 29 July and ends on 6 August 2021. Let the hunt begin!
The Real Deal
