Over 70,000 Residents To Usher In 2024 With Heartland Celebrations As One United Community
About 28 year-end community celebrations will be held island wide from 30 to 31 December 2023 for residents from all walks of life to come together to usher in the New Year. Organised by the People’s Association Grassroots Organisations (PA GROs), the heartland celebrations ensure that there is something for everyone with a wide variety of community activities, including carnival games, Silent Disco, a sports carnival, a fashion show, multi-cultural performances, and a party for pets and their owners.
All these activities, designed to cater to residents’ interests, will bring and connect over 70,000 residents and their families, friends, and neighbours, to collectively share their aspirations for the New Year.
Some of the festive highlights on 30 December 2023 include Our Tampines Hub’s New Year’s Eve and New Year celebrations which will extend over three days from 30 December 2023 to 1 January 2024, featuring activities such as gigantic board games for families, eco-related workshops and cooking sessions to express their creativity. With a growing number of pet owners in the estate, Farrer Leedon Residents’ Network (RN) will organise a ‘Year-end Paw-Ty’ for pet owners to celebrate with their furry friends. Through the session, pet enthusiasts can connect, share experiences, and access valuable resources for their beloved pets. There will also be a best-dressed competition for pet owners to showcase their pets’ unique personalities and styles.
On 31 December 2023, residents can look forward to ushering in the New Year with their loved ones at the countdown parties. One Punggol’s New Year’s Eve 2023 offers a mesmerising display of cold pyrotechnics and a light show with electrifying dance music, which will appeal to youths. Over at Marine Parade Year-end Countdown Party, families can bond over carnival games such as Giant Snakes & Ladder or explore a 24-metre inflatable playground at NorthBound Fest @ Marsiling. There will also be a year-end sports carnival at Sengkang Community Club (CC), where residents will get to experience KpopX dance, trampolines, and obstacles games, as well as old school games such as flipping the giant eraser. Families and individuals seeking a more unique experience can join the Silent Disco at Heartbeat @ Bedok’s Year-end Carnival and Disco. Designed for residents of all ages, this immersive experience allows participants to dance to their preferred music using colourful LED headphones.
In addition, Nee Soon GRC GROs will organise its first-ever year-end party which will feature concert performances by homegrown artistes including Stephen Zechariah, Annette Lee, and local band 53A. Keat Hong will hold its signature year-end countdown party – Keat Hong Fiesta Countdown to 2024 – with highlights including a fashion show featuring traditional fusion outfits made from recycled materials and a variety of engaging games and activities for residents to soak in the festivities.

Residents can look forward to a movie bus where they can enjoy free screening of ‘Minions: The Rise of Gru’ with their families, friends, and neighbours. The public is encouraged to bring their own seats or picnic matt during the screening.

Residents can get together and enjoy durian treat and other fringe activities, such as a magic performance and interactive games with the emcee. The event aims to promote social cohesion among neighbours.

|IT’S Paw-TY Time
Pet owners and their furry friends can look forward to celebrating the end of year with a variety of activities and services designed for them to enjoy together. These include grooming sessions, obedience training, and an obstacle course for pets to showcase their agility and skills. There will also be handicraft activity for owners to make something special for their furry friends. Pet owners can also participate in the best-dressed competition and showcase their pets’ unique personalities and styles.
The ‘Year-end Paw-Ty’ aims to create a sense of community among pet lovers, promote responsible pet ownership, and provide a platform for owners to learn more about caring for their pets.

|Year End Carnival @ Tanglin Halt
The Year End Carnival @ Tanglin Halt will feature a range of activities and services for residents to celebrate the end of year with their families, friends, and neighbours. These include handicrafts such as clay art, colouring, and airbrushing and community booths by Healthier SG and IMDA that provide residents with information about the various services, with a focus on empowering seniors with digital skills and encouraging participation in activities around the estate.
Residents will enjoy performances by local artists and musicians that showcase the talent and diversity of the community. Notably, the finalists of Buona Vista Got Talent 2023, the Division’s talent show, will take the stage to showcase their respective skills and talents.

|Sengkang Central Year End Carnival 2023
Sengkang Central will host its first ever year-end carnival at Buangkok CC. Residents can look forward to playing carnival games such as Giant Jenga, Giant Snake & Ladder, Cactus ring toss. They can also enjoy cultural and school performances such as Traditional Thai Cultural Dance & Malay Dance, and have a blast on carnival rides. New citizens will also be invited to join the event.

|Boon Lay Countdown 2024 – A Night to Remember
Residents can look forward to performances including Chinese Orchestra, Hokkien Opera, Pop Dance, and the Billy Stretch Band exercise, presented by local artistes and grassroots performers.
The event aims to bring the Boon Lay Community together by involving not only residents, but also local stakeholders such as River Valley High School (RVHS). RVHS students will assist and befriend wheelchair-bound seniors who have been invited to attend Boon Lay Countdown. The students will also work with Boon Lay Youth Network volunteers in conceptualising and managing game and activity booths throughout Boon Lay Countdown.
Residents can also catch fireworks display at the countdown celebrations in Boon Lay.

Residents can join in the fun at Bukit Panjang CC to usher in the new year. There will be carnival rides and games, fringe activities, live band featuring Misschiefs, dance performances, along with face painting and balloon sculpting for everyone to enjoy.
The programme highlight will be the laser show counting down to the New Year and the Eye-Dotting Ceremony for the Bukit Panjang Dragon – the Dragon will be featured at Chingay @ Holland Bukit Timah and Bukit Panjang on 1 March 2024.

|Heartbeat @ Bedok Year End Family Carnival & Disco
Heartbeat @ Bedok will be hosting it’s first ‘Year End Family Carnival & Disco’ post-Covid-19 for East Coast and Kampong Chai Chee residents.
The event will feature carnival games such as LED air hockey, ‘Fast Hands,’ ‘Tap It,’ and a pirate ship bouncy castle to engage families and residents of different ages. The family carnival will be held from 2.30pm – 10pm.
Residents of all ages can join the Silent Disco session where participants are able to dance and groove to their preferred music using their colourful LED headsets. Heartbeat @ Bedok also aims to break the Singapore Book of Records for the ‘Largest Silent Disco,’ with a goal of involving up to 1,500 residents in both the

Hougang residents can join in a wide range of activities for the year-end celebration. Key highlights include stage performances and games. The theme of the event is multi-cultural where participants are encouraged to dress in their cultural costume. A best-dressed competition will be held, giving participants the experience of a celebrity event. They will walk the red carpet and have their photos taken against a big backdrop at the entrance.

Residents are in for a treat with a variety of carnival games brought in by Uncle Ringo Funfair Carnival Games. There will also be live band performances and live food stations on local delicacies.
Outdoor garden seatings will also be set up for residents to come together to bond and strengthen neighbourly ties.

|Keat Hong Fiesta Countdown to 2024
Keat Hong Fiesta Countdown to 2024 aims to unite Keat Hong residents of all ages and background in a vibrant, community-focused celebration. Residents can look forward to activities including bouncy castle, carnival games such as ‘Fast Hand’, ‘Large Plinko’ and ‘Large Inflatable Dart’, as well as carnival food booths. There will also be various performances by celebrity performers and talented local Keat Hong residents.
There will also be a fashion show featuring traditional fusion outfits made from recycled materials. These outfits are specially designed and put together by Keat Hong CC Women’s Executive Committee (WEC).
Residents can look forward to firework displays as they ring in the new year.

|MacPherson New Year’s Countdown
The year-end countdown to 2024 in MacPherson will feature stage performances such as Chinese Drummers, Laughing Yoga, Kickboxing, live music performances by local artists and a magic show.
Residents can gather around the main stage to enjoy delicious food while immersing themselves in music and performances. There will also be recreational stations featuring activities such as bowling, soccer and basketball for residents to engage in.
As night falls, the main streets near the event area will illuminate, and residents will be treated to a dazzling firework display behind MacPherson CC.

|Marine Parade Year End Countdown Party
Ringing in the new year with Marine Parade residents at the year-end carnival and countdown party. Residents can look forward to culinary delights such as burgers and kebabs at the night market located at Block 55 Marine Terrace.
At Block 46 Marine Crescent, there will be fringe activities and carnival games like Ring Toss, Giant Snake & Ladder, and Ballon Sculpting for families to participate in. Live performances by local artists and an interactive magic show for the kids are also part of the festivities. The live performances include Dikir Barat (percussion/singing), Bollywood dance, Frission Acapella (local English acapella group).
Residents can look forward to ringing in the New Year with dazzling firework displays.

|NorthBound Fest @ Marsiling
The event, organised by Marsiling’s Youth Network and Nanyang Polytechnic Students’ Union, will feature an array of festive activities to promote better health and well-being for residents of all ages. These include games and fringe activities, as well as a 24m long inflatable playground.
Hosted by Fauzi Aziz and Wallace Ang, residents can look forward to stage performances, featuring local talents like DJ Haneri, Lee Pei Fen, Richard Low and more.
There will also be art workshops such as Terrarium Making, Up-cycling Terrazzo Coaster, Jewellery/Keychain, Candle Making for residents to express their creativity.
Residents will also be treated to the fireworks display that will light up the night sky.

Nee Soon GRC GROs will organise its first-ever year-end countdown party for residents of Nee Soon. Hosted by radio DJs Jeremy Ratnam and Shu Hui, the event will feature fringe activities such as carnival games, food and dazzling concert performances by homegrown artistes such as Stephen Zechariah, Annette Lee, and local band 53A.
One of the programme highlights will be the fireworks display which will be staged in the vicinity.

|New Year’s Eve 2023 @ One Punggol
The event, held in collaboration with Punggol town GROs, will feature fringe activities like a movie marathon from 2pm (Moana, The Game Plan), carnival-style fringe activities like Rodeo Bull and Hippo Challenger, and bouncy castles from 6pm for families.
Thereafter, there will be multi-racial dance performances by One Punggol’s community partners and local talents, followed by performances by professional performing artistes, including local celebrity Taufik Batisah.
Punggol residents will usher in 2024 with cold pyrotechnics and a laser and light show with electrifying dance music.

Sengkang North will host its first-ever year-end sports carnival. Residents can look forward to fringe activities including trampolines try-outs, KPopx dance performances, obstacles games, classic magic shows, and old school games like country flag erasers where participants can take a trip down memory lane and recreate the joy of flipping a giant country eraser.

Tanjong Pagar-Tiong Bahru (TP-TB) grassroots leaders, volunteers and residents will gather to celebrate the festive season and welcome the New Year. The event has been held for 20 years and it is one of TP-TB’s signature events that the community looks forward to coming together to celebrate the success of the year and foster stronger bonds.
The programme features a sing-along, mass dance, and interactive games. Moments before the stroke of midnight, all attendees will join in a mega sing-along and mass dance as the TP-TB family ushers in brand New Year.
