Coin enthusiasts and hobbyists can once again look forward to The Singapore Mint’s annual Lunar Fair to be held from 1 to 10 January 2017 at the atrium of HDB Hub (Toa Payoh).

Various other retail roadshows will also be organised till 26 January 2017.

To usher in the Year of the Rooster, the Lunar Fair will feature dazzling coins and collectibles which include the highly anticipated 2017 Year of the Rooster Almanac Coins.

The 2017 Year of the Rooster Almanac Coins is the inaugural issue of the Singapore Fourth Chinese Almanac Coin Series, issued by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. The coins are available in a wide range of fine gold, fine silver and base-metal coins in new shapes, material and sizes.

This year’s Lunar Fair promises to be exciting and meaningful with a range of activities set in place. The Singapore Mint hopes to inspire both young and old to have a renewed appreciation for the stories behind Chinese Traditional festivals, such as traditional activities before, during and after Chinese New Year.
