Samsung Singapore today announced the availability of the new Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime smartphone – a sleek device equipped with enhanced features that offer users a premium smartphone experience.
Streamlined Design with a Premium Touch
Featuring a slim metal finish and a streamlined curved back, the Galaxy J5 Prime embodies a premium look and stylish feel that is reminiscent of the elegance of the Galaxy series.
The smartphone is also equipped with a strong and durable 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 4 finishing, offering improved usability for users in their everyday activities.
Enhanced Smart Camera Capabilities to Capture More
The Galaxy J5 Prime sports a 13MP rear camera with a bright f1.9 aperture lens, allowing users to capture beautiful moments in crisp and vivid details.
Its 5MP front camera, along with innovative selfie features such as the Wide Selfie, Palm Selfie and Real-time Beauty Face, lets users express their individualistic style and snap their picture-perfect selfies with ease.
Advanced Security Features and Dual SIM Support
Embedded with Fingerprint Sensor, users will be able to unlock their Galaxy J5 Prime at a touch of the Home Key, enjoying added security. Coupled with Samsung Knox, an award-winning[1] defence-grade security platform providing heightened protection, users can also be assured of a new level of security.
Users can also enjoy diverse usage on the Galaxy J5 Prime, thanks to its Dual SIM2 capability. With the microSD[3] card slot, it offers the added storage option of up to 256GB, making the Galaxy J5 Prime the perfect device for travel.
Sponsorship of Galaxy J5 Prime for Use at Road Safety Community Park
Along with the availability of the Galaxy J5 Prime, Samsung Electronics Singapore will be sponsoring Galaxy J5 Prime smartphones to be used at the Road Safety Community Park, where the devices will be pre-installed with the new Road Safety Community Park mobile app and used for road safety training sessions from the new school year.
“The Road Safety Community Park is an iconic landmark in Singapore, especially for students,” said Eugene Goh, Vice President, IT & Mobile, Samsung Electronics Singapore. “We hope that using the new Road Safety Community Park mobile app on the Galaxy J5 Prime can help make students’ learning experiences at the park even more fun and engaging.”
The app, which is co-developed by students from Nanyang Polytechnic, aims to educate young children on road safety through easy and fun digital interaction. The Road Safety Community Park mobile app can be downloaded from the Google Play store for Android devices.
Local Pricing and Availability
The Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime will be available from 19 November 2016 in White Gold or Black at a recommended retail price of $298 (including GST) at all local telecommunication operators, selected major consumer electronics and IT stores, authorised mobile retailers and Samsung Experience Stores.
