Temporary Restricted Areas for aerial activities

Temporary Restricted Areas apply during specified windows rather than continuously throughout the entire NDP period. ✈️

  • 1 August: TRA 2 from 5pm to 7:30pm, followed by TRA 1 from 7:30pm to 9pm
  • 9 August: TRA 2 from 3:30pm to 7:30pm, followed by TRA 1 from 7:30pm to 11pm
  • 15 August: listed as the reserve date if required

During the applicable periods, kite-flying, captive balloons, free-flight aerial objects and unmanned aircraft such as drones are prohibited within the TRAs unless expressly permitted by CAAS. The restricted areas extend from ground level to 3,000 feet above mean sea level.

For official updates, visit the NDP 2026 advisories page, refer to the NDP Temporary Restricted Areas advisory (PDF), or check OneMap aerial activity restrictions.

With staggered carpark closures and extensive road restrictions across both dates, the smoothest approach is to take public transport and allow extra travel time. Check live navigation updates before setting off, avoid restricted roads and comply with the aerial restrictions. 🇸🇬
