COE prices in February 2025’s first Open Bidding Exercise drop in most vehicle categories

February 2025 Certificate of Entitlement (COE) Open Bidding Exercise concluded on 5 February at 16:00

In a competitive bidding landscape, the latest exercise revealed a general reduction in COE premiums across nearly all vehicle categories.

Notably, while most categories saw a decline, the Motorcycle category experienced an increase of $568, bringing the new COE to $8,289.

Stakeholders, including buyers, sellers and policymakers, are urged to monitor these fluctuations as they could influence vehicle pricing and market strategies in the coming months.

Category A includes non-fully electric cars with engines up to 1,600cc and a maximum power output of up to 97kW (130bhp), as well as fully electric vehicles up to 110kW (147bhp).

Category B encompasses non-fully electric cars with engines exceeding 1,600cc or power outputs above 97kW (130bhp), and fully electric cars with outputs surpassing 110kW (147bhp).
