‘Angry Birds Adventure’ descends on Singapore Cable Car for a Squawkin’ good time in June. Enjoy seven months of interactive games and exciting rides onboard the World’s First Angry Birds Thematic Cable Car Ride
Starting 1st June, be one of the first to step atop Mount Faber to experience the worldwide gaming phenomenon, Angry Birds, like never before.
“Angry Birds Adventure atop Mount Faber” marks a first-time partnership between Mount Faber Leisure Group and the creator of the successful franchise, Rovio Entertainment.
The collaboration promises to bring the Angry Birds pandemonium onboard Singapore Cable Car and to The Jewel Box at Mount Faber, Singapore’s Iconic Hilltop Destination, with monthly themed events for the entire family to participate in from June to December.
Diehard Angry Birds fans will be pleased to know that these popular feathered friends will be nesting amid the nature of Mount Faber for the next seven months. Step into the world of Angry Birds on Mount Faber and get up close and personal with your favourite iconic birds and evil green pigs – from themed cable car cabins to interactive game stations and creative workshops – providing plenty of photo opportunities and family-friendly events suitable for all ages.
“We hatched the idea to bring together Singapore Cable Car and Angry Birds, one of the world’s most popular mobile games, as we endeavour to create a different and unique experience for families and couples,” said Mr Chan Chee Chong, General Manager of Mount Faber Leisure Group.
“Singapore Cable Car embodies great entertainment for everyone. Bringing Angry Birds to life at Mount Faber allows us to connect with Singaporeans and tourists in numerous ways. Our activities range from interactive game stations, to quirky F&B creations, as well as online engagements through social media contests. Through these efforts, we hope to create unique experiences and lasting memories for visitors who spend time with us,” added Mr Chan.
Take Flight with Angry Birds at Mount Faber
The Angry Birds Adventure comes to life once visitors take a ride in one of the 30 Angry Birds-themed cabins. Travelling sky-high, riders can enjoy a full-sensorial experience in the World’s First Angry Birds cable car cabin. Guests will be surrounded by unmistakeable Angry Birds sounds of chirping and snorting, while others may be accompanied by an Angry Birds plush toy companion placed in selected cabins. With every purchase of a cable car ticket, guests will also receive a complimentary Angry Birds face mask.
For the month of June only, be sure to catch a glimpse of the three specially designed, fully-wrapped Angry Birds cable car cabins depicting the Angry Birds chasing after an evil green pig.
In celebration of this squawk-worthy collaboration, the iconic birds will be making special appearances during the Angry Birds launch carnival from 1 to 3 June at meet and greet sessions on Mount Faber. Visitors can not only get up close and personal with these feathered friends, but also participate in a fun-filled Angry Birds weekend featuring themed games and exclusive giveaways.
The launch carnival will also mark the start of the Angry Birds Adventure at Mount Faber, which will last until December 2012. During this exciting period, visitors can immerse themselves in the world of the Angry Birds by catapulting the birds through the air at live Angry Bird game booths and iPad game stations situated within and around the cable car stations at Imbiah Lookout on Sentosa and The Jewel Box.
To encourage parents to bring their kids out to Mount Faber during the June school holidays, Singapore Cable Car will also be organising a continuous series of Angry Birds programmes and activities. Families with children and the young-at-heart can partake in ‘egg-citing’ activities including arts and creative learning workshops, and an Angry Birds Passport Game. Singapore Cable Car will continue the feathered fanfare with other rousing Angry Birds celebrations from June through to the end of the year.
