Singapore Sports FREE $100 ActiveSG For Singaporeans & PRs 1 May 2014

Open to all Singaporeans and Permanent Residents, each ActiveSG member will be given ActiveSG$100 to sign up for sports programmes, and enter into swimming pools and gyms at the various Sports Centres island-wide.

Membership is FREE.

Acting Minister for Culture, Community & Youth, Mr Lawrence Wong announced these when he officially launched ActiveSG at Jurong West Sports Centre

“Singaporeans from all walks of life, regardless of age, skill level, or physical ability can lead an active lifestyle through sports. They can come together to learn, train, compete in a range of sports,” said Mr Wong. “We will credit all ActiveSG members with ActiveSG$100 to help kick-start their fitness routine. I hope that Singaporeans will come onboard to embrace this movement and share this with their family and friends too so that we can all get active and Live Better Through Sport.”

Singaporeans and PRs can sign-up as an ActiveSG member via www.myactivesg.com, or at any of the Sports Centres island-wide. See below for more tips

Introducing the new offerings to the public ActiveSG will be holding several Open houses at the following Sports Centres from 9am to 6pm

• 27 April (Sunday): Sengkang Sports Centre
• 03 May (Saturday): Yio Chu Kang Sports Centre
• 04 May (Sunday): Bishan Sports Centre
• 10 May (Saturday): Pasir Ris Sports Centre

The ActiveSG $100 can be used for:

1. Pool and gym admissions
2. ActiveSG programmes and activities (capped at 30% of the cost for each programme/ activity, no limit on number of programme/ activity sign-ups)
3. ActiveSG facilities booking (excluding Dual-Use-Scheme facilities)
4. Purchase of MyActiveGYM and MyActiveSWIM schemes

The complimentary ActiveSG $100 will expire on 31 December of the year following the year of issue. For example, ActiveSG Dollars issued on 6 June 2014 (or any other day in the same year) will expire on 31 December 2015 (the following year).

How to get the FREE ActiveSG$100

You can sign up via the app ActiveSG (Android Play Store, Apple App Store) on your smartphone.

Alternatively, you can do so online

1. Sign up for FREE membership at http://members.myactivesg.com
2. Verify your account using your SingPass via members.myactivesg.com or the ActiveSG mobile app.
3. Upon verification of identity, members will then be able to download the complimentary ActiveSG $100 into their eWallets.

You can also register at any Guest Services Office at all ActiveSG Sports Centres and swimming complexes.

ActiveSG members will enjoy these benefits:

2. Priority booking of facilities – 1 day in advance of non-members (all facilities booking policies apply)
3. Complimentary trial classes
4. Invitation to exclusive members’ events
