For the period from 1 Jul to 30 Sep 2015 (i.e. 3Q 2015), electricity tariffs will increase by an average of 1.54 cents per kWh or 7.5% from the previous quarter, 2Q 2015.
This is due to a 15.1% increase in the cost of natural gas for electricity generation from 2Q 2015. The electricity tariff for households will be revised to 22.41 cents per kWh for 3Q 2015
The average monthly electricity bill for families living in four-room HDB flats will increase by $6.01
