The Istana will be open to the public on Sunday, 26 January 2020, from 8.30am – 6.00pm.

A variety of performances are held on the Istana grounds during the Open House. Visitors can tour selected function rooms in the Istana Main Building and view a special display of gifts presented to Singapore’s Presidents and Prime Ministers over the years.

There are also guided tours of the Istana building, conducted by volunteers. Nature lovers can participate in the Nature Guided Walks, where they can learn more about the rich flora and fauna on the Istana grounds.

Entrance Fee

  • SGD$2 per person
  • Free for Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents

Access

  • Entrance to the Istana grounds is via the main gate on Orchard Road.

Souvenirs

Istana souvenirs, including President’s Challenge memorabilia, are available at the Open House. All proceeds are donated to the charities supported by the President’s Challenge.

Visitors Information

For security reasons, the following items are NOT allowed within the Istana grounds:

  1. Pointed and sharp objects (e.g. knives of any size, forks)
  2. Flammable items (e.g. lighters)
  3. Canned food and drinks

To ensure a safe and enjoyable visit and to prevent damage to the premises, visitors are to note the following:

  1. Activities such as wheeled sports (e.g. cycling, roller blading), littering, smoking, consumption of alcoholic drinks are NOT allowed.
  2. Pets, except for guide dogs, are NOT allowed.
  3. No storage facilities will be provided. Security personnel reserve the right to turn away visitors with prohibited items.
  4. All visitors must go through security screening before entering the Istana grounds.
  5. The sale of tickets for the Istana Main Building will close at 5.30pm, subject to crowd conditions.
  6. Registration will close by 3 pm for the Istana Main Building Guided Tour, and by 4 pm for the Nature Guided Walk.
  7. All tours and entrance tickets are subject to availability.

  1. Better not have a open house cause of the Wuhan virus cause u may not know what kind of people will enter the president house cause the president to be infected with the Wuhan virus
