The Rink, at an impressive 60 by 30 metres, is Singapore’s only Olympic-size ice skating rink. Today’s Grouponers can enjoy 2 hours of public skating sessions, and includes the hire of some slick skate boots to keep skaters moving on the icy surface.
The Rink provides an added dimension of fun and entertainment to guests in the form of disco-themed ice skating sessions that are held on Fridays and Saturdays, from 9.45pm to 11.45pm.
Skating aids are available for skaters of all ages. At $10 for 2 hours, the Penguin Skating Aid is specially meant to help children pick up the basics of ice skating more easily and with confidence, without the fear of falling; while the Seal Skating Aid is available for rental for adults at $15 for 2 hours.
Other activities at The Rink include figure skating and ice hockey training sessions by the Singapore Ice Skating Association (SISA) and Singapore Ice Hockey Association (SIHA), which the public will be able to view from the 460-seat gallery.
