City Square Mall has lined up an array of activities and promotional offers for young children from 3 October to 2 November 2014

This October, families with young kids can expect super fun and super deals at City Square Mall

Come and participate in a variety of exciting live performances, exhibitions, competitions and fairs put together over the Children’s Day weekend as well as enjoy exclusive privileges and discounts available from 3 October to 2 November 2014.

Super Rewards for Super Shoppers!

Date: 3 Oct to 2 Nov

The first 4,000 shoppers with a minimum spend of $150* ($200* if inclusive of NTUC Fairprice receipts) will be able to redeem a $5 City Square Mall voucher. Furthermore, the first 1,000 customers with at least 1 receipt from the Food & Beverage, Kids’ Ware and/or Education & Enrichment outlets would receive a uniquely designed City Square Mall Mug.

*A maximum of 3 same-day combined receipts from any store except pushcarts and non-tenant atrium events. Redemptions must be made on the same day of purchase at the L2 Customer Service Counter, unless otherwise stated. Receipts can only be used once and cannot be reused for any other promotions and redemptions, except for Free Weekday Parking. Other terms and conditions apply.

Children’s Day Weekend Extravaganza

Date: 3 to 5 Oct
Venue: L1 Atrium

a. Mat Yoyo ‘Live’ On Stage and Meet & Greet

Time: 5pm

Come enjoy a special 20-minute live show featuring Yoyo and Yaya through an interactive song and dance performance.

Yoyo and Yaya will be playing mini games with the audience over the Children’s Day weekend! Also, 40 exclusive Meet & Greet passes are available after each show, grab the chance to take a photo with Yoyo and Yaya.

b. Educational Fair

Time: 11am – 9pm

Equip yourselves with new skills and hear more from City Square Mall’s educational centres about the courses and programmes they offer to maximise your child’s potential.

CMA Mental Arithmetic, Eye Level, Genius R Us, I CAN READ, Indigo Centre for Economics, LEAP SchoolHouse, MindChamps PreSchool, Perfect Pitch, and UBO Bilingual School would be present to share their experience and address your queries.

c. Magic shows with Tricky Patrick, Uncle Jimbo and City Square Mall’s very own young performers

Time: 3 – 5pm

Laugh along with Tricky Patrick as he selects volunteers from the crowd to join him in performing tricks. Witness how he turns shredded paper into a hat, Superman’s brief or a funny boxer and make a bottle vanish into thin air!

This will be followed with a special performance – ranging from storytelling sessions to dance and musical numbers – by the students of LEAP SchoolHouse, Genius R Us, Perfect Pitch and UBO Bilingual School. Award-winning magician Uncle Jimbo would then continue the fun with his special magic and puppet show to ensure you’ll be smiling the rest of the day.

There will also be an additional treat for children who arrive early! From 3pm onwards each day, City Square Mall would be giving out 100 goodie bags which includes a non-woven bag, a pair of chopsticks and an umbrella to serve as your ultimate outdoor companion.

3. Rise & Shine Children’s Day Event: Building Blocks Competition

Date: 6 Oct Time: 1 – 5pm
Venue: L1 Atrium

Show your family spirit at Rise & Shine’s Family Fun with Blocks Competition and walk away with attractive prizes worth $150!

To take part, parent-child teams should sign up online: http://evnk.co/buildingblocks by 1 October and come to City Square Mall on 6 October where they would be challenged to build a structure with the blocks provided. All participants would receive a goodie bag worth $65!

4. Baby Fair by Guardian

Date: 29 Sep to 5 Oct Time: 10am – 10pm
Venue: L1 Atrium

Stock up on essentials for your young ones with a wide range of baby products including baby food, skincare and healthcare products on offer.

5. Taiwan Country Fair

Date: 20 to 26 Oct Time: 10am – 10pm
Venue: L1 Atrium

Treat yourself to all the wonderful things Taiwan has to offer! From Taiwan’s signature pineapple cake to the assorted flavours of Daifuku and mochi confections, there will be something to delight the taste buds of all food lovers.

As Singapore’s first Eco-Mall, City Square Mall has been promoting eco-friendly messages among Singaporeans. Learn more about food waste in Singapore and be inspired by an art sculpture exhibition using expired canned food organized by The Food Bank.

You can also bid for your favourite art pieces during the fundraising auction and bring them home!
